It was very lucky that I won a lucky draw in an event which held by Hard Rock cafe. Actually, that prize was not very valuable (a 1 000 000VND coupon) but it was a chance for me and my family to try one of the best traditional Vietnamese restaurants in HCMC – Mandarine Restaurant:

After having a look at the Mandarine Restaurant Facebook page, I invited my family to enjoy dinner with me. This is a restaurant with traditional Vietnamese architecture and peaceful environment. However, the decoration on the table is a little Western style with candles and wine glasses. It makes us feel very romantic, comfortable and merry.

At first, we did not know what we should order because there were so many special foods that we hadn’t tried before. With the advisement of the nice staff there, we decided to choose Banana Blossoms Salad with Grilled Beef as our appetizer.

The next plate was so delicious and made me never forget it. My family couldn’t wait more times to enjoy that crunchy crab with sour and sweet sauce.

I and my younger brother was so excited with our dessert because every time guests ordered Crepe Suzettes with Vanilla ice cream, the server would make crepe right away near our tables. What a wonderful experience!

This wonderful dinner costed more than 3 000 000VND. It is quite expensive and not very suitable for middle class people. However, it still be a reasonable choice for who want to enjoy a high-class Vietnamese meal in a traditional Vietnamese restaurant.
