Why the name Carp?

The name of this bookstore delivers a meaningful message. While Vietnamese people currently seem to forget reading books, instead, they tend to read short articles and news online. As a wish, Mr. Tran Dai Thang – who is an artist and the founder of this bookstore hopes that one day ‘Carp will be magically transformed into a Dragon’ (based on Vietnamese fairy tale). In other words, he hopes that the Vietnam culture of reading and intellectuality development develop continually comparable to developed nations. In order to achieve this objective, the Carp bookstore has a unique architecture and colorful interior design.

Why I should visit this bookstore?

This bookstore is not similar to many other stores in Vietnam especially Saigon. The shelves in this store are not merely made by coarse wood and are putted in a corner with full of books on, all the shelves in the Carp are painted with different colors and books are displayed artistically.
