I came across this video today and I really enjoyed the music and the story behind it.
Dinh Nguyen, a French born Vietnamese, went to Guadeloupe* to follow his sweetheart. Their romance did not last long but Dinh persevered and learnt to speak Creole. One day, while participating in a Karoaoke and singing “Zouk” music (Creol music from these islands) he was spotted by a talent scout.
Apparently Dinh would like to bring zouk music to Asia, that would be great to see, two cultures from opposite sides of the world, brought together by music. Have a look at this video and have your opinion of this fusion Vietnam-Caribbean.
We’re 100% for it, go Dinh!
