We were impatient to see them open their doors!
After gathering a huge following at its original location, in the heart of back-packer town, at 164 Bui Vien, Baba’s kitchen is coming to District 2. What a great addition to the restaurant and food scene in this much more peaceful and residential part of town. There is already another Indian restaurant in Thao Dien, Ashoka which is also a sister restaurant of the original in Le Thanh Ton but for all of us fans of Baba’s Kitchen, the real deal has arrived in force to An Phu!
This Indian restaurant’s Thao Dien branch is not open yet to the public for takeaways, it will be in a few days, but Robin, the owner and the man behind this popular eating spot was kind enough to come over for an interview today. Wow, really cool Robin, you heard that Elisa was doing a school project and that she wanted to feature Baba’s Kitchen and you came all the way over from Bui Vien to An Phu to answer questions from an enthousiastic nine year old! What can a father say…thanks!
More news on Elisa’s project later but here are some pics made today while she interviewed Robin 🙂
After the interview, Robin asked Elisa what was her favourite Indian dish, she replied Chicken Tikka and he had it delivered to her house a few minutes later, compliments of the house! Elisa was one happy journalist today, thanks Robin, best of luck with this new outlet! You now have two more faithful customers for sure.
Here is the delivery menu of Baba’s Kitchen , the new Indian restaurant in Thao Dien set to make a difference for all of us living in An Phu or District 2.
